FrogFarm Devlog #5 Saving and Loading!


Hey Everyone!

Back again today to give an update on the development of FrogFarm!

Today has been all about adding the system for saving and loading the game. I left this until later into development so that all the game systems could be figured out first, so deciding on what needs to be saved would be a bit clearer.

I have been following parts of a tutorial by Godotneer on Youtube, which I highly reccomend. I'm utilising Godot's resource saving system to save all the relevent data, and utilising an Autoload singleton to carry the saved data over the scenes that require it.

Let me know of any other methods for saving and loading that could be implemented!

Gearing up now towards the end of development, as the saving/system is the last piece I have to complete!
